Aotearoa Delegation takes on World Expo 2025, Osaka
In April 2025, Aotearoa took to the world stage at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan through Te Aratini — a global celebration of indigenous performance, culture, and storytelling.
Just three months before the Expo, Aupiki was brought in to lead the full travel coordination for the Aotearoa delegation. Our role was simple: ensure seamless travel so performers, organisers, and cultural representatives could focus on delivering an unforgettable experience on the world stage.

The Challenge
With World Expo drawing global demand, travel into Osaka was highly constrained. Flights were limited and accommodation was filling quickly, making careful coordination essential.
The delegation included 58 travellers – Iwi Chairs, CE’s, Business Leaders, Kaihaka, and more.
With only three months notice, Aupiki needed to coordinate travel for the full delegation.

Our approach
Working closely with the leadership of Te Aratini, Aupiki delivered a coordinated travel plan for the delegation.
This included:
- International flights for the full group
- Five Star Hotel near the World Expo
- Airport transfers
- SUICA transport cards for easy travel across Japan
- Clear travel documentation and itineraries
- Travel Insurance
With logistics managed by Aupiki, the delegation could focus on preparing for their performances and engagements.
