Supplier diversity delegation heading abroad
In 2025, Amotai led a delegation of Māori and Pasifika businesses to Supply Nation’s Connect conference in Brisbane, Australia — one of the largest gatherings of Indigenous businesses and organisations in the region.
To support the delegation, Aupiki worked alongside the Amotai team to design a bespoke, all-inclusive travel package that could be easily promoted to their national network.
The goal was to simplify the process for delegates by offering one clear, all-inclusive price that covered the entire journey — removing the need for participants to organise flights, accommodation, and travel logistics separately.
The package included return international flights (with domestic connections), accommodation in Brisbane, airport transfers, daily transport, organised activities, and travel insurance.
This approach allowed delegates to focus on building relationships and exploring opportunities with Indigenous businesses from across Australia and beyond.
The Challenge
Organising international travel for a large group of business delegates presents several challenges. Participants often have different departure locations, varying travel experience, and limited time to coordinate bookings themselves.
Amotai wanted to create an opportunity for businesses within their network to attend Supply Nation Connect without the barriers that often come with organising international travel.
The key challenge was designing a travel package that was affordable, simple to understand, and comprehensive, while still ensuring a smooth and well-supported travel experience for the delegation.
Our approach
Aupiki worked closely with the Amotai team to develop a fully coordinated travel package that would streamline the experience for delegates.
Our approach included:
- Coordinating return international flights from Aotearoa, including domestic connections
- Securing accommodation in Brisbane suitable for the delegation
- Organising airport transfers on arrival and departure
- Planning daily transport to support movement between accommodation, events, and activities
- Including travel insurance to ensure delegates were covered throughout their journey
- Structuring the package as a single all-inclusive price, making it easy for Amotai to promote and manage registrations
By bundling the travel components into one package, Aupiki helped remove complexity and provide clarity for delegates.
The outcome
The all-inclusive travel package enabled members of the Amotai network to attend Supply Nation Connect 2025 with confidence and ease.
Delegates were able to focus on building connections, exploring partnerships, and representing Māori and Pasifika businesses within an international Indigenous business environment.
Through careful planning and coordination, Aupiki delivered a travel solution that was accessible, organised, and aligned with the goals of the Amotai delegation, supporting their participation in one of the region’s most important Indigenous business events.
